Working for CSM Live we were responsible for the manufacturing and installation of over 500 metres of vinyl and banners on to hoarding across the city, promoting the iconic 2022 Commonwealth Games branding. This could be seen around various locations across Birmingham, including Chamberlain Square, Perry Barr, Moor Street and Congreve Passage.
The PBS team have been incredibly proud to work with CSM Live on one of the biggest events in Birmingham.
We were instructed to carry out site visits at each location, assessing the condition of the hoarding, measuring up and advising on suitable solutions.
Our teams then printed, finished and installed the branding the following week.
If you’re wondering what happens to all the banner & vinyl at the end of the event… all used materials will be bagged up and sent to Prismm Environmental who ensure 100% reuse of the waste PVC. All waste is then bulked into bales and sent to Melba Swintex facility in Lancashire. Here the waste banner is shredded and blended with other grades of PVC prior to being processed into low-grade PVC based products such as traffic cones, mobile sleeping policemen and bases for portable fencing.
