Our team

Carl Murphy

Managing Director

Carl is our main man 😊. With 27 years’ experience in the print and signage industry

there’s nothing he doesn’t know about signs! He started his career many moons ago, as an airbrush artist for the surfboard industry, and has since worked at various print and signage businesses before starting up PB Signs in 2008. He did so because he discovered there was a need for fast signage without compromising on good customer service and quality. Carl is obsessed with motorbikes, spending his spare time riding out on his Low Rider S. And when he’s not riding a motorbike, he’s building one! He’s currently custom building a 1970s Harley Davidson.

Alice Fox

Business Development Manager

Alice has over 20 years’ experience in Project Management roles across various industries.

Clients benefit because she’s extremely process driven – as the business grows, she makes certain there’s a system in place to ensure the business runs smoothly and efficiently! She’s the PB Signs networker, and enjoys building business relationships – if you see her at an event, she’d love you to say hello! In her spare time Alice loves dressmaking, and sews many of her own clothes as well as outfits for her children, and soft furnishings for her home too.

Ryan Tongue

Operations Director

Ryan is our Operations Manager. Ryan ensures the business runs smoothly from…

your initial enquiry through to design, production, installation and after sales. Ryan has worked in the MOD sector for over 10 years in various Operations, Logistics and Project Management roles. He’s extremely process driven and helps keep us all in check! In Ryan’s spare time he’s a keen cricketer and loves to spend time with his family.

Liz Middleton

Senior Design Manager

Liz brings a wealth of experience, including designing rider uniforms for Deliveroo and cyclewear for Halfords.

She also helped design retail garments allied to the Nickelodeon and Mr Men brands, as well as charity merchandise for Help for Heroes. Liz’s passions include travel (ask her to roll some sushi for you – she’s an expert!), drawing and bingeing on TV box sets with a glass of wine.

Josh Neal

Print & Signage Designer

Josh has worked on numerous high-profile projects such as Computer Arts Magazine and Unbarred Brewery.

In his spare time, Josh enjoys running – completing the hottest London Marathon on record in 2018. And all that activity makes him hungry, so as a keen cook he loves to feed family and friends whenever he can.

Jess Haffield

Marketing Assistant

Jess is our Marketing Assistant. She is a MSc Marketing and BSc Psychology graduate from Cardiff University.

She has experience working in digital marketing including:

Social Media Content Creation
Social Media Strategy & Scheduling
Data Analysis & Market Research
Software: Meta-Business Suite, Google Analytics, Canva & Adobe

Jess focusses on all things marketing from social media, to email and events marketing.

She recently spent 6 months living in Melbourne, Australia, to expand her horizons and seek new experiences. She loves to travel, is newly interested in photographer and loves to scroll on socials!

Paul Anning

Printer & CNC Operator

Paul has over 25 years’ experience in the print and signage industry and has a wealth of knowledge in print production.

Paul studied at The London School of Printing. His eye for detail is second to none – nothing gets past him unless he’s 100% happy with the quality and finish.
In his spare time Paul loves photography and travel and speaks fluent Spanish.

Tom Harding

Signage Technician

Tom is our vinyl specialist and sign maker, he’s currently studying to be a Signage Techician with Walsall College.

Tom’s skills include:

vehicle signage including wraps
post mounted signage including road signage, directional, traffic signs, gantry signs
building signage for example, entry & exit signs, health and safety signs, fascia signs, window signs and manifestations
freestanding signs and displays including pavement signs and exhibition displays
When Tom’s not sign making he can be found on the golf course or the football pitch.

Our Install Team

Our install team have years of experience. They fit our products nationwide.

Our experienced installation team fits projects nationwide, installing everything from branded wallpaper and office graphics to large-scale illuminated letters and exterior signage. With years of hands-on experience, they are skilled in working safely and efficiently at heights of up to 6 metres, ensuring every installation is completed to the highest standard with minimal disruption to your business.
