THE CLIENT
Formerly known as Grove Primary School, Beacon View Primary School is based in Malvern, Worcestershire. Following its transition into the Mercian Educational Trust (MET), the school adopted a new name and visual identity, marking an exciting new chapter for its pupils, staff and wider school community.
The new Beacon View branding features bright colours, playful bird illustrations and natural landscapes, reflecting a positive, welcoming environment for learning and development.
THE PROJECT
With the school’s new identity confirmed, PB Signs was appointed to produce a coordinated range of signage and graphics to introduce the Beacon View brand throughout the school grounds and buildings.
The aim was to create a consistent look across the site, replacing the previous school identity while making the environment feel bright, welcoming and easy to navigate.
From the main entrance and external building signage to reception areas, entrance doors and directional signs, each element needed to reflect the new branding while remaining practical, durable and suitable for a busy primary school.
The project also included signage for the school’s MET Hub, ensuring the trust’s identity was incorporated alongside the new school branding.
THE SOLUTION
Our team manufactured and installed a variety of bespoke signage, combining different materials, finishes and production techniques to create a cohesive look across the school.
External Building Signage
We produced eye-catching external signage featuring the school’s new logo, colours and distinctive bird illustrations.
This included individually cut lettering and shaped graphic elements, alongside larger printed aluminium composite panels, creating a strong visual identity at key entrances and around the school buildings.
Entrance and Welcome Signage
First impressions matter, particularly in a school environment. We created a large branded welcome sign for the main reception area, introducing the new Beacon View identity as pupils, parents and visitors enter the building.
The signage brings together the school’s vibrant green and blue colour palette with its recognisable illustrations, creating a friendly and inviting entrance.
Wayfinding and Information Signage
To improve navigation around the school grounds, we manufactured a range of practical directional and information signs.
These included post-mounted signs, entrance gate signage and visitor information panels, all incorporating the new branding to maintain consistency throughout the site.
Clear messaging helps visitors find the correct entrances and reception areas while supporting the school’s day-to-day operations.
Window Graphics and Manifestations
We also produced branded window manifestations for the school’s glazed entrance doors, incorporating the Beacon View logo and colourful illustrations.
These subtle additions help reinforce the new identity while providing visual markings to the glass.

MET Signage
As part of the wider project, we manufactured dedicated signage for the school’s MET Hub, including a freestanding post-mounted sign and additional directional graphics.
The signage incorporates the Mercian Educational Trust’s distinctive burgundy and gold branding, helping visitors identify the hub while complementing the wider school environment.
THE RESULT
The completed rebrand has given Beacon View Primary School a fresh, consistent identity across its buildings, entrances and outdoor spaces.
By combining bespoke exterior signage, colourful graphics, window manifestations and practical wayfinding, we’ve helped bring the new school branding into the physical environment.
Rather than simply replacing an old logo, the project demonstrates how thoughtful signage can support a school’s transition, create a sense of belonging and make its new identity recognisable throughout the site.
From initial manufacture through to installation, we’re proud to have supported another local school in marking an important new chapter.
